Editing Business! :)

It's been so long I'm embarrassed! So, what's new in my world? And yours! :)

Well, school has taken off and I'm on some wild ride! I've been shooting with a 4x5 camera lately and the focus is amazing but the camera is half my height and he-e-e-a-a-vy! It's a workout if I ever knew one. And the film processing is tedious at times. Still. Worth it if I can work it out.

I took a drawing class over the summer for my foundation credits and while the teacher was a loony the figure study really helped me improve. I'm so shocked that I don't stink like I thought, that I actually draw more now! I want to move into painting but I have so many questions and ... no time or people to ask! I guess that's what I miss about deviantART sometimes. People there to answer and pester. ;) Alas, no time for dA either.

My photoshop skills are still sharp and I need money so! I started up a little digital tech/ photoshop guru "business." I'm going through my pics and I'm going to make a new site to show people and hopefully get hired to edit their images. I just hope people start noticing my photography as much as my digital work. Sometimes I get tired being known for just that. However! Better to be known as something than as nothing, right?

It's been a long time since I've updated this. What's new in life?

Well I got good grades last semester, my GPA is 3.2! And I left deviantART and MN@ which makes me very very sad. I will miss people very much. <3 I am in the talkings and hoping to show at a gallery but I'm so nervous! I'm so young I always get second guessed. Comes with the youth I suppose?

I leave for Philly on the 17th. I wanted to leave on the 16th so I could paint but I'm hoping we can still paint my place in a couple days. I hope! :) I'll post pictures when I get to it.

new years resolutions:
forgive past wrongs and live more in the present.
go to the gym more often (joining one when I get back!)
make more friends in Philly, let loose!
get a job so I can spend my summer carefree
focus on doing more photoshoots!!! I need to do more!
maybe stop turning down guys and try a date? Lol we'll see about that.

So I registered for my classes today. Here they are. :) I'm really stoked to be doing a fashion photography class. I hope that this teaches me new things. <3

Moving + Work

Woo, long time no post! I'll be moving on the 16th of August to Philly!! :) I can't wait. Until then I'll be suuuuuper busy packing things. I halted photoshoots till then but I might squeeze in 1 or 2 with Katie and Andrea. I'll post more the extras from my shoot with Andrea when I get home.

My mom's birthday is the 12th and I want to print her out some new prints for her office. Or something nifty. She's turning 48! <3 I love her too much haha. If you haven't seen the pictures from my tattoo about her, you're late. I'll post them later too.

Decided on UARTS. I'm also going on a cruise soon with my mommy. Should be a lot of fun. YES MOMMY. :P I'll also be turning 20 in 5 days. Wow. 20. And then in June I'll be in Louisiana for a while helping my mawmaw (grandmother for you yankees) which should be hilarious and fun. She's the best. <3

I'm going to miss my friends a lot. =\ James Bond with Stephen, the mall with Alex. Sigh. :< Love you kids.

I'll still be on MN@ just leaving for a while since she has no internet. So I'll upload things on dA then. <3

Philly!

We're in Philly visiting UARTS which is where I think I'm going to go. It seems like a really great place! I'm going to be getting a studio apartment in Center City which is around where the school is. Exciteddddddd. :D

I haven't been doing too many photoshoots lately but I plan on getting back into them and doing more photo manips as well. I still have some images I've been editing from my shoot with Rebecca. http://rlmiller.deviantart.com

We're heading to dinner now so I'll update in a little while. I'm doing commissions for $30 if anyone's interested. There's more on my journal on dA.

2 more acceptances!! :D

So today I got accepted into California College of the Arts as a transfer with 12 classes accepted and ALSO University of the Arts (Philly) and UARTS offered me their Promising Artists Scholarship which is $9,000!!! I'm very excited. :) That's all the college news I have for the moment!

OTIS: $7,000 in scholarship
SFAI: financial aid still in processing
CCA: financial aid still in processing
UARTS: $9,000 in scholarship

Nice eh? 3 to go. Pasadena, RISD, and SMFA. :)
